Bedding wholesale shop in Mui Wo

Mike and Tess haven't formally opened it yet but if you ask the folks at Nitaya Thai Kitchen, they can call either one of them for you.

Super soft towels at HK$88, cushions at HK$88 and, best of all, entire duvet sets (duvet + 2 pillowcases) for only HK$499. They only have 12 sets left and once they're gone, they're gone. We bought to stock up for winter.

Crowding on a work day

Mui Wo residents have noticed that the ferries are getting fuller these days - and not just on weekends. This is the crowd for the 9.10am ferry on a weekday! In the past, you'd probably only see crowds like this on special occasions, such as the Silvermine Bay Music Festival.

Some of the traffic are tourists but there are more residents too. Given how high rents are all over Hong Kong, Mui Wo is getting quite popular as a place to live. A real estate agent told me it's the new Sai Kung. I think it's more like the new Discovery Bay.

Hopefully, First Ferry will cotton on and stop using the smelly (and puke-inducing) small ferries for the Mui Wo route.

I think Mui Wo looks its best when it is decorated with colourful festival banners flapping in the breeze.
The flags are especially impressive when you see rows upon rows of them.

Ever since I started this blog, I've been getting queries about Mui Wo from a few people considering moving here (yay).
