... at least make sure it looks like a work of art.

Lights on at Silvermine Beach Resort
I must say Silvermine Beach Resort is looking much better under new management. This Cinderella coach (which is inexplicably towing a sleigh) is really pretty.
Not sure about the decorated paddle boat, though. But at least they're making an effort.Sunday, December 29, 2013

Hotpot time!
Lantau Taste is offering yummy hotpots that are perfect for this weather. This is the curry chicken hotpot (HK$88), which comes with pretty lethal Sichuan peppers.
The lamb hotpot (HK$128) is the best of the four choices, I think. Lots of mushrooms and water chestnuts.Sunday, December 8, 2013
Garden Plus X'mas bazaar
I'm beginning to see some familiar faces at Garden Plus' flea market. Lantau Buffalo Association's Ho Loy is one of them. She's wearing their new T-shirt here.
Didn't even have time to do some shopping myself... which may not have been a bad thing in retrospect.

Cheung Chau day trip
Baby ambulance.
That's you told!
Some lovely houses on the hillside. I wanted one and then Buffalo Wilbur pointed out an old woman huffing and puffing uphill. Nah!
Lunch at a Thai-Indonesian place. Food tastes Cantonese. Very strange.
Looks like Cheung Chau is ready for Christmas.

Discovery Bay Xmas flea market
Am really going to have to fire my social secretary (ie yours truly) because I have been almost missing on flea markets recently. Had happily ordered my usual at Deerhorn when I noticed on Around DB that the flea market was today. Ack!
But of course, I managed to make it post haste. Not that much to buy as I was later than usual but, as Buffalo Wilbur said, if we hadn't gone, I would have been like a rat gnawing away inside his skull.
