Please go and support. It's on this Thursday at Bahce.

Tap Tap in Pui O is also holding a charity Quiz Night on Thursday at 8.30pm. The table charge of HK$200 and 20 percent of the takings from the night will be donated to the Red Cross for relief efforts.

Flea market collection

Spotted this sign while on one of our village walks. To be honest, I was more excited at the prospect of there being a flea market on September 20 and 21!

Or if you are an animal lover, PALS is always looking for donations for its Discovery Bay flea market stall. The next flea market is on June 23 so now's the time to give Jacqui a call and see if her little PALSmobile is going to be anywhere near your home.

Go on down to the Mui Wo church fair

The food and snacks are homemade and cheap (HK$30 for rice/noodles with choice of two dishes).
And the jumble is unbelievable. Lot of branded stuff (Le Sportsac duffle bag for HK$80, Burberry shirt for HK$10, agnes b wallet for HK$5).
The fair is until 3.30pm today at the church in Chung Hau village. The money goes to charity. If you get on your bike now, you might just be able to catch the tail end of the fair, when they are sure to slash prices further.

May fairs

Handmade Hong Kong's fair is on Mother's Day. They have some unique stuff.

And this one I have already marked in my diary. A charity market at the Mui Wo Church in Chung Hau Village. Buffalo Wilbur ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in that Saturday.

Bui O school fair

"I hope it's not full of big-eyed kids imploring me to buy a glitter bookmark," I told Buffalo Wilbur as we headed to the Bui O School fair and flea market.

Actually, I was prepared to fork out some money for tat as it was all going to the school kids anyway. But thankfully, I didn't have to.

The flea market stalls were well-stocked.

And the brand new stuff for sale wasn't too bad either.

I steered clear of the games stalls, though.

The ones making the best business were those selling second-hand clothes and food.

PALS needs your "fleas" again

Some readers have asked me when the next flea market at DB is so here's a public service announcement: It's on October 9. Yay!

You know the drill. Jacqui from PALS can be contacted on 2984-1626 or 9197-4371.

PALS needs the money and Jacqui says they will take "anything" so please do make the effort to clean out your home.
