Glass recycling... finally!

After years of campaigning, Mui Wo finally has glass and electronics recycling bins. These are in the rubbish area next to the seafood centre but there are some beside the swimming pool complex too. 

Sure makes you feel less guilty about boozing, doesn't it?

The bins are part of a trial run. If you want them to stay, or to request bins near your home, call 1823 and give your feedback.

Pellet police

You gotta love Hongkongers. They could have been relaxing on the beach listening to the music during the Silverminebay Music Festival but instead they are picking out the plastic pellets that washed up on the beach during Typhoon Vicente. 

Hongkongers really do care about their environment – it's not just lip service. Are the Environmental Protection Department people seeing this?

The pellets are thrown into this bin for disposal.
