The sun takes forever to set during the summer, which means you get some wonderful ferry trips at sunset. The ordinary ferries give the best views because there are no grubby window panes between you and the sunset.
My favourites are the 5.40pm or 6.40pm ferries from Central and the 5.30pm one from Mui Wo on weekdays and Saturdays. It gets dark after that so there's not much to see but, if you're lucky, the 7.30pm ferry from Mui Wo will pass Disneyland just as the fireworks are on.
